1. Introduction
Welcome to United Archives LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access and use of our website and the Central Registry System service. By creating an account and using our platform, you agree to comply with these Terms.
2. Eligibility and Account Registration
- Our services are available only to commissioned notaries public in the United States.
- You must complete a verification process, including ID verification, biometric authentication, and notary license validation.
- You agree to provide accurate and current information. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts with false or misleading information.
3. Purchase of Security Certificates
- Notaries may purchase security certificates through their account.
- Each certificate will have a unique serial number assigned upon purchase.
- Orders are shipped via USPS, and shipping times may vary.
- All sales are final; no refunds or exchanges are permitted.
- Notaries may not gift, transfer, or resell purchased certificates to any other party.
4. Certificate Validation Process
- After notarizing a document using our certificate, the notary must log into their account, select the certificate’s serial number, enter the notarization date, and validate the certificate.
- Once validated, the certificate status cannot be changed or removed.
5. Public Verification System
- Any person may verify a notarized document printed on a security certificate purchased from us by entering the serial number and notarization date on our website, uacrs.com.
- If the certificate has been validated, the Central Registry System will confirm its authenticity and display the notary’s public information (name, commission number, commission state and expiration, and optional contact details) upon request through the verification section on the main page of our website, uacrs.com.
6. Payment and Fees
- Account registration is free.
- Notaries must pay for security certificates at the time of purchase using an accepted bank card.
- We are not responsible for any transaction fees imposed by your financial institution.
7. User Responsibilities
- You agree to use our services in compliance with all applicable laws and notary regulations in your state.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You agree not to misuse or falsify validation records.
8. Limitation of Liability
- We provide our services "as is" without any warranties, express or implied.
- We are not responsible for errors in notarization, misuse of certificates, or fraudulent activities by users.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.
9. Privacy and Data Security
- We collect and store user data as described in our Privacy Policy.
- By using our platform, you consent to our data collection and usage practices.
10. Termination
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account for violations of these Terms.
- Users may request account deactivation at any time, but validated certificates will remain publicly searchable.
11. Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms at any time, and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
- Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of California.
13. Account Suspension and Support
- Accounts will be suspended if the notary's ID or notary commission has expired. Notaries are encouraged to upload updated documents before expiration to avoid suspension. If an account is suspended due to expiration, the notary must upload updated documents to regain the ability to purchase certificates and validate them.
